Stone Travelers: Colombia's Enigmatic Megaliths
A downloadable game
"Stone Travelers: Colombia's Enigmatic Megaliths" draws its inspiration from the awe-inspiring San Agustin archaeological site in Colombia, home to the largest collection of megalithic sculptures in South America, a fact not widely known. These ancient artworks captivate with their unique aesthetic and size, yet their allure deepens as they remain enshrouded in mystery and speculation. The people who crafted these sculptures vanished without a trace before 800 AD, leaving behind enigmatic puzzles for modern explorers. Encountering these sculptures firsthand, we were compelled to preserve their essence using photogrammetry technology, and by integrating augmented reality, we can transport these relics through time and space, allowing users to experience them at their true scale and immerse themselves in their ancient majesty. Through "Stone Travelers," we aim to ignite curiosity and reverence for this ancient civilization, inviting people to embark on their own pilgrimage to the San Agustin site. In contemplating these stone travelers, we are reminded of our fleeting presence in the continuum of history. These silent sentinels have witnessed the ages and will endure long after we have departed.
